Blackle - Energy Saving Search

How do u save energy while searching?? Yeah obviously i am talking about the display energy of the monitor :)

Blackle does save the energy while searching. Blackle was created by HeapMedia

Blackle searches are powered by Google Custom Search. When enter any text for search, it will go via google only. Check the address bar, u will see a google.com address there.

Why did they come up with such an energy saving idea?

"Image displayed is primarily a function of the user's color settings and desktop graphics, as well as the color and size of open application windows; a given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen."

How does it help?

When u make this page as your home page, every time you load the Internet browser a small amount of energy is saved.

For more info on the energy saving, click here

After all, its a small step in saving energy.

Hey Guys,

I went for an pleasure trip to kodaikanal. Its was my office domain trip. 80 members totally. It was awesome weather. Fortunately rain did not spoil our outing.
Weather was really good. It was sunny in the afternoon and the same time it was cold. Stayed in Carlton Hotel, the 5-star hill resort which is surrounded by the lake. Lake view from the room is awesome.

Carlton hotel arranged for group events. Also they offered free half an hour boating in their boat club, Jacuzzi, Steam, Massage. Facilties were good.
